OGRI Antique Artists Desk Chair Owned By Paul Sample TOM SHARPE Book Illustrator

This item has been purchased.

Description

We have for sale an Edwardian desk chair with worn leatherette upholstery. This is most special as it was originally owned and used by artist and illustrator Paul Sample until this year when he officially retired.

Notably the creator of the motorbiking anti hero strip cartoon character 'Ogri', and all of Tom Sharpes' book covers.

He has sat at his drawing board in this comfortable antique tilt and swivel chair since the 1960's.

The leatherette is worn on the corners, and it is spotted here and there with Indian ink as one would expect as that was his main medium to draw with.

I will get a hand written letter of authenticity from Paul with a personalised doodle to boot! please ask for any dedications...This of course will be included with the sale.
